Demoralization is a process used in Psychological Warfare with an objective to erode morale among enemy soldiers and citizens. Generally done in one of two ways, through objective conditions or perception.

Objective conditioning commonly takes form as military defeat on the battlefield our focus will be demoralization through perception. Implemented by various forms of propaganda as a tool to influence opinion through significant symbols, rumors, stories, pictures, reports, and other means of social communication. Deception and disinformation combined with the agents of influence are also used to destroy morale.

A strategic campaign will tailor itself to a specific target and situation and has 3 avenues of implementation:

1. Diversion of Hatred- effects the tendency of the target citizenry to project their discontent toward a common enemy. Creating questions on the capability of leadership.

2. Sow the Seed of Self-doubt- an essential part as studies indicate Fear as one of the most widespread psychological traits that can be manipulated and expanded into Anxiety.

3. Provide a New Focus of Hatred & Frustration- newly onset Anxiety can place mass groups of individuals on the border of Neurosis. Feeling doubt-ridden and detached from current loyalties they are able to be refocused on means more suitable to the Antagonist. The results of these contradictions and threats is the target feels "Accused and Guilty" and will search for a cause that provides a Sense of Righteousness.

This is a pivotal moment. Leaving the target Doubt Ridden, Anxious, and Detached they can be refocused in a direction more suitable to the antagonist's needs.

If done improperly the Manufactured Anxiety can backfire and cause the subject to cling more closely to the original cause.

The most powerful strategy of Demoralization is Diversion a difficult and multifaceted operation. The antagonist diverts hatred away from themselves while fostering a level of Anxiety that cannot be mitigated by their existing cause or leadership.

Once the two precursors are met centralized focus on a particular object of Animosity in hopes to Polarize the Sentiment of the enemy. This can be directed towards:

1. Allies: exacerbating relations

2. Enemy Governments or Governing Classes: convince that leadership has committed unjust acts( most widely attempted method)

3. Anti-state Sentiment to Foster Secession: divert frustration towards growing secessionist causes in an attempt to Fan the Flames of Discontent one segment of the Nation feels towards another.

The Process of Demoralization is being directed towards you at any given moment. Whether throughTelevision( it's advertising and programming), Social Media, Books and Pamphlets, or Direct Transmission by way of Deception, Disinformation from the Agents of Influence(i.e. sports and entertainment "celebrities").

THE AESTHETICS OF OUR TERRORISM

KILLING JOKE- S/T- 1980

With the first view of the cover, its aesthetic influence on WOLFCHILD A.D is apparent. The apocalyptic post-punk high contrast Cold War image perfectly displays the dystopia that lies within.

Whether it's the cold synth and war paranoia of opener "Requiem", the tribal rhythm of "Wardance", the danceable industrial leaning of "Bloodsport", or the spiraling metallic guitar and spurts of noise on "The Wait". The primitive and impersonal, bleak, and beautiful album may have been released 40yrs ago the songs within are just as vital now.
